About Solitaire Turn 3
About solitaire-turn-3.com
solitaire-turn-3.com is a free place to play Solitaire Turn 3, the three-card-draw version of Klondike, right on the home page. The same game also lives at /solitaire-draw-3 and /klondike-turn-3, and a one-card version is at /klondike-solitaire. Alongside them you will find a set of other classic solitaire games. Everything runs in your browser: no download, no sign-up, no account.
The site asks one question of every game: how much does the draw, or the stock, change your chances? We measured it where we could, and we say so plainly where we could not.

Draw three against draw one: a few results
In September 2026 we rebuilt the games in Python, following the rules this site uses, and played numbered deals. The same Klondike deals, played both ways:
| Measure | Turn 1 | Turn 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Simple program's wins (10,000 deals) | 42.3% | 10.6% |
| Solver that sees every card: won / proven lost (1,000 deals) | 76.6% / 2.1% | 66.2% / 9.5% |
| Laps of the stock in a won game | 2.34 | 3.81 |
The solver sees every card and the program never plans or undoes, so solver figures are ceilings and program figures are floors. For most other games we did not vary the stock rule, and each page says so. The one exception is Pyramid, where we measured one pass against three. Each game page gives full figures, deal counts and 95% ranges.
The games
Klondike in Turn 3 and Turn 1, Solitaire Double, Pyramid, Golf, Spider, FreeCell, Yukon, Eight Off and more. The full list is on the games page.
Every game has zoom and fullscreen, Hint, unlimited Undo, Restart and Auto Play. Drag or tap to move, mute the sound or change the table color, on any modern computer, tablet or phone.
How we use AI
An AI assistant, Claude by Anthropic, helped us write and review the simulation code and draft the text on this site. It did not produce any figures. Every number comes from running our code or from a named, linked publication, and our team checked the results and reviewed each page before publishing.
Our standards
- Measured, not guessed. Every figure has a deal count and a 95% range, or a link to its published source.
- Like with like. Turn 1 and Turn 3 were played on the same numbered deals by the same programs.
- Gaps admitted. Where no figure exists, such as a limit on Klondike redeals, the page says so.
- Corrections welcome. If something looks wrong, email us and we will check it.
